I truly believe the inner child that exists in us will never diminish if one engages in arts. In my watercolor "Time Capsule", a serious lookin gchild, maybe an adult in disguise, is standing in a dreaklike building which reflects Jim Hesson's famous quote "The most sophisticated epople I know -  inside they are all children."
